Hello! I’m Bridget founder of Limetree PR

Here to let everyone know how great you are!

I am a communications expert I can help you figure out, write and tell your business story more effectively so that potential customers will want to buy from you. I can also help charities and not for profit organisations do the same. I help define your messaging, business direction, write captivating copy and act as a friendly sounding board when you feel a bit stuck. Most importantly, I will find the good and unique and encourage you to share the news with others.

I would love to work with you too!

My Background. I have spent more than 20 years within PR and Marketing. I started out working for British Gas as a Home Economist then took a sideways move into PR when reorganisation hit. Thrown in at the deep end I found I loved the challenge of dealing with incessant press enquires whilst managing the demands of studying for a PR qualification. I soon gained promotion. Surviving various reorganisations and company restructures I eventually worked for the parent company Centrica and accepted part responsibility for the PR on Morecambe Bay Gas field as well managing a busy regional press office, heading up national campaigns and running regional community relations programmes.

I won awards.

I had a family.

Like many women I had to consider the demands of a busy job alongside looking after two little girls.

I was fortunate in that I could combine them and worked on a job share basis until a further reorganisation excluded me from the structure.

I took redundancy from a job which I loved but was lucky enough to pick up freelance work and another job share role at Manchester Airport. I worked as an Events Manager until a company restructure wiped out two thirds of the PR department. This is when I decided to go freelance and set up my own PR company. After a happy childhood and still enjoying frequent visits to my parents I decided to call my business after my childhood home – “The Limes”.

Those who know me, and my business, will know that I love the colour green! Being a country bumpkin at heart I associate green with:-

  • New growth
  • Vibrant ideas
  • Refreshing taste
  • Being deep-rooted
  • Trees which flourish and become the beauty of the countryside

All qualities associated with healthy business. I really look forward to hearing from you.
